Head of Sales for SaaS Product



We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced professional to join our startup as the Head of Sales for our SaaS product. As the Head of Sales, you will be responsible for developing and executing a strategic sales plan to drive revenue growth and achieve sales targets. You will lead a sales team, build strong customer relationships, and work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the success of our SaaS product.



Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy to drive revenue growth, meet sales targets, and expand market share for our SaaS product.
  • Lead, manage, and motivate a high-performing sales team, including hiring, training, coaching, and performance evaluation.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers and prospects, understanding their needs and aligning our product offerings to meet their requirements.
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the competitive landscape, market trends, and customer insights to identify new business opportunities.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including product development, and customer success, to ensure alignment and drive customer satisfaction.
  • Set sales targets, monitor performance against goals, and provide regular reporting and analysis to senior management.
  • Implement effective sales processes, tools, and methodologies to enhance efficiency, scalability, and sales effectiveness.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments, emerging technologies, and best practices in SaaS sales to continuously improve our sales strategies and tactics.
  • Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities to promote our brand and generate new business leads.
  • Maintain a strong focus on customer success, working closely with the customer success team to ensure customer satisfaction, retention, and upsell opportunities.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field. MBA or advanced degree is a plus.
  • Proven track record of at least 6-8 years in B2B SaaS sales, with a successful sales leadership background.
  • Strong business acumen and understanding of the SaaS industry, market dynamics, and sales processes.
  • Demonstrated experience in building and leading high-performing sales teams, with a focus on hiring, coaching, and developing talent.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport, negotiate effectively, and influence key stakeholders.
  • Results-oriented mindset with a proven ability to meet or exceed sales targets and drive revenue growth.
  • Strategic thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving skills, capable of identifying opportunities and developing actionable plans.
  • Experience with CRM systems and sales tools to track, analyze, and optimize sales performance.
